In the course of the project the Tsomet Sefarim network and 33 stores at the Ramat Aviv Mall will sell gold colored bookmarks, for only NIS 10, with profits going to Yad Sarah. Income from contributions to the project will be devoted to acquiring medical rehabilitative equipment for loan in the 100 Yad Sarah branches throughout the country. In the past year Yad Sarah volunteers loaned out over 200,000 medical rehabilitative items. The project will last through the month of March. Avi Shumer, Director of the Tsomet Sefarim network remarked, "The network and its employees recognize the importance of contributing to the community in general and to Yad Sarah in particular. We consider contributing to the community a central value in our activities and are delighted to lend a hand to Yad Sarah in acquiring medical rehabilitative equipment to help out the many people who turn to the organization." Ruth Leviev-Yalizorov, Director of the Ramat Aviv Mall added: "We are familiar with the important contribution Yad Sarah makes to Israel society and are happy to lend a hand and assist the organization volunteers. The Ramat Aviv management holds assisting society at the center of its philosophy and this is one way to express this obligation." |
