The party was a gala affair, with Yad Sarah volunteers overseeing the decorations, refreshments and music.  Tzippy Chaimowitz (who received an award of recognition from the city this on Independence Day), Tiki Levy and Sarah Malkah from the transportation staff were among Yad Sarah staff members who worked to turn Topaz's dream into a reality.

And what a reality it was!  Singer Ehud Elisha [pictured on top with Topaz] of the "A Star is Born" television  show sang to a jazzy beat as Topaz and her friends clapped happily.   The fact that Ehud's father is the head of the Yad Sarah volunteers might have influenced his decision to sing for free.

The party was exciting for the adults as well, with Mayors Avi Alkabetz of Afula and Jackie Levy of Beit She'an, a resident of Topaz's neighborhood, putting in an appearance.

"May you merit only goodness and health and fun times with your family," Mayor Avi Alkabetz wished Topaz and invited her to visit his office. He also presented Topaz with a birthday gift, an MP3. 

"It was wonderful to see Topaz's happy face," Mayor Jackie Levy said.  "Yad Sarah deserves a lot of credit for this party."

Tzippy Chaimowitz, acting as chairman, said: "I never experienced anything like this in my life."

The colorful certificate Topaz received at the party says:  "Yad Sarah arranged this special party as part of its Fulfilling Dreams Campaign.  We hope that you had a good time and wish you many years of joy and happiness.  We hope that all of your dreams be fulfilled."
