"Hedi", Yad Sarah's mobile resource and guidance center, traveled to "Siyua 2005" at Tel Aviv's Exhibition Grounds in mid-May. "Siyua", which means "assistance," is a forum for exhibiting a wide range of products designed to help disabled people lead more independent lives. Hedi is set up as a model apartment furnished with an array of assistive aids and various apparatus designed for ease and safe use in the home for people with disabilities. With the guidance of professionals who accompanied the mobile unit, visitors were able to try out all of the items on display and receive guidance and instructions. In addition, volunteers at the Yad Sarah booth at the exposition provided information about a wide range of Yad Sarah services, including alarms, YadSarahVans, medical and rehabilitative equipment lending, mobile dental unit, Daat – the medical query service, Yad Riva – legal aid, guidance centers, day rehabilitation centers, and creative occupation for the homebound.
